Kate Langan

Assistant Professor, Humanities Librarian, University Libraries, Western Michigan University

Kate is the Humanities Librarian at Western Michigan and is the liaison to the English and Foreign Languages Department. Her time is spent staffing the reference desk, teaching information literacy, collection development.  Her current research addresses different aspects of IL such as assessment, support for PTIs, and  incorporating threshold concepts into the IL curriculum.

llse Schweitzer VanDonkelaar

Social Media Specialist, WMU Graduate College; Ph.D. WMU Department of English

Ilse’s research focuses on Anglo-Saxon and Old Norse languages, literatures, and cultures. She earned her Ph.D. from WMU in December of 2013, and currently serves as a Social Media Specialist for the Graduate College, where she has been focusing on increasing the Graduate College’s presence in social media. Currently, she is collaborating with University Libraries faculty to develop workshops for graduate students interested in DH.
