I'm a literature and theory person, housed in English, affiliated with Gender and Women's Studies, and a specialist in 18th and 19th-century British literary history. My focus has been on Romantic literature and culture, especially the work of women writers (both canonical and noncanonical), and in gender studies, queer theory, and the history of sexuality. My early grad training included time at the famous UVA Etext Center (as it was then called), in the days long before "DH". I haven't worked with code for 20 years now, but I'm interested in returning to such work.
